York St John University Chamber Choir are performing Karl Jenkins’ Mass for the Armed Man and Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst at York Guildhall on the evening of Tuesday May 21st. Should be good! Mass for the Armed Man, based on medieval texts, is a piece that expresses the folly of war and the desire for peace; Cloudburst recreates a thunderstorm in music.
